Personal Injury
Train Accident Lawyer in Palmdale
The Metrolink Antelope Valley Line runs through Lancaster, Palmdale, Acton, Santa Clarita, and Newhall, and freight trains use the same corridor. If you were hurt on a train, on a platform, or at a railroad crossing, get medical care and write down the time, place, and train number. Metrolink is run by a public agency, so you usually must file a written claim within six months. Claims against private freight railroads generally follow the two-year rule.

Rail lines in our area

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Who is responsible for a railroad crossing crash?
Possibly the railroad, if crossing gates, lights, or signs did not work or were poorly maintained. A driver who went around the gates may also be responsible. Public agencies that maintain the road can share responsibility too.
I fell on a train platform. Is that a train accident?
It can be. Falls from uneven platforms, broken stairs, or a gap between the train and platform may be the rail operator's responsibility.
Why is the deadline so short?
California's Government Claims Act gives public agencies extra protection. A written claim is usually required within six months before you can sue. We handle that filing.
