Personal Injury
Car Accident Lawyer for the Antelope Valley
If you were hurt in a car accident in Palmdale, Lancaster, or anywhere in the Antelope Valley, do these things first: get medical care, get the police report number, take photos, and do not give a recorded statement to the other driver's insurance company. You have two years from the crash to file an injury lawsuit in California.
Campano Law Group can handle the insurance company for you. The consultation is free, and you pay no fee unless we win.
Free case review. Tell us what happened, and Attorney Angelo F. Campano will personally review your message.

(661) 945-5300What to do after a car accident
- Check for injuries and call 911. Ask for police to come to the scene, even if the crash seems minor.
- Get medical care the same day or the next day. Neck and back injuries often hurt more a day or two later. A gap in treatment is one of the first things an insurance company points to.
- Take photos of both cars, the road, skid marks, traffic signals, and your injuries.
- Get names and phone numbers of the other driver and any witnesses. Photograph the other driver’s license and insurance card.
- Report the crash to the DMV. California requires an SR-1 form within 10 days if anyone was hurt or property damage is over $1,000.
- Call a lawyer before you talk to the other insurance company.
What you can recover after a crash in California
- Medical bills, including ambulance, emergency room, doctors, therapy, and future care.
- Lost wages and, for serious injuries, lost ability to earn in the future.
- Your car: repair or fair market value, towing, and a rental car.
- Pain and suffering: physical pain, emotional distress, and the ways the injury changed your daily life.
California uses “comparative fault.” If you were partly to blame, your recovery is reduced by your share, but you can still recover.
How much insurance is out there?
Since January 1, 2025, California’s minimum auto liability coverage is $30,000 per person and $60,000 per accident for injuries. Many drivers carry only the minimum, which may not cover a serious injury. We look for every source of payment, including your own uninsured and underinsured motorist coverage and, for work vehicles, the employer’s insurance.
Crashes we see often
- Rear-end collisions, especially in stop-and-go traffic on Palmdale Boulevard, Rancho Vista Boulevard, and Avenue K.
- Freeway accidents on State Route 14 and State Route 138.
- Intersection accidents, including left-turn crashes and red-light runners.
- Crashes with commercial trucks and Uber or Lyft drivers.
- Hit-and-run crashes and crashes with uninsured drivers.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Should I talk to the other driver's insurance company?
Give them only basic facts, such as your name and your insurance company. Do not give a recorded statement and do not sign anything. That adjuster works for the other driver, and what you say can be used to pay you less.
What if the other driver has no insurance?
Your own policy may cover you through "uninsured motorist" (UM) coverage. Many people have it and do not know it. Bring us your insurance card and we will check.
I did not have insurance. Can I still recover?
Yes, but California's Proposition 213 limits what you can get. An uninsured driver usually cannot recover money for pain and suffering, only for things like medical bills and lost wages. There are exceptions, for example when the other driver was drunk. Call us to find out how it applies to you.
How much is my car accident case worth?
It depends on your injuries, your medical treatment, how the crash affected your work and life, and the insurance available. We cannot predict a result, but we can explain what drives the value of a case like yours.
How long does a car accident case take?
Some settle in a few weeks. Others take several months, or longer if a lawsuit is needed. The biggest factor is usually how long your medical treatment lasts.
